Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Sharon moved to Philadelphia to attend Bryn Mawr College. She began her training career in 1987, teaching high school students how to improve their SAT scores. Upon graduation, she decided to pursue her love of teaching and became a corporate trainer with PC Concepts (later known as Ziff Technologies). Sharon spent more than three years teaching various operating systems, office suites, and customized systems for Fortune 500 companies around the country.
In 1993, Sharon founded Applied Computer Services, Inc.(ACS)- a consulting firm specializing in creating customized training and documentation for proprietary software systems. Over the years, Sharon has worked with a variety of companies, including pharmaceutical, technology, financial, and service industries. Her company has trained more than 10,000 students and has developed more than 175 documentation projects.
In 1998, ACS expanded its services to include web-based training development, online help, and project management. In 2000, ACS added customized leadership development courses, including project management and time management. In 2001, Sharon changed her company's name to ACS Learning, to better reflect its focus on learning, regardless of the delivery platform.
Sharon has built ACS Learning through partnerships and long-term relationships with her clients. She is committed to providing personal attention to each client and ensuring that ACS Learning provides only the highest quality of instructional services.
